At DARY LIVING, each candle is a collaboration between nature and artisan hands.
We don’t hide our process. We celebrate it. And we believe when customers see the full journey—from earth and flame to scent and light—they feel connected to something real.

Here’s how our handmade Moroccan candles come to life.

Step 1: The Land — Where It All Begins

Our story starts in the Ourika Valley, just outside Marrakesh.

It’s here that we grow many of the herbs and flowers used in our essential oils—orange blossom, verbena, citronella, violet, and more.

The red earth of this region also provides the clay for our ceramic vessels. Rich in minerals. Naturally filtered. Full of history.

We don’t import ingredients.
We harvest, dig, and distill them locally—because sustainability isn’t just what we make, it’s how we make it.

Step 2: The Pottery — A Vessel of Culture

Each DARY LIVING ceramic candle is wheel-thrown by hand in Marrakesh by artisans who’ve been practicing for generations.

We’re proud to collaborate with the Serghini family, one of Morocco’s oldest and most respected artisan dynasties, crafting pottery since the 1800s. Today, Aziza and Youness Serghini continue the legacy — creating sculptural works for Moroccan palaces, Dubai hotels, and now, our candle collection in Palm Beach.

Step 3: The Glass — Giving Recycled Materials a Second Life

Our Solune Collection is made entirely from recycled glass, mouth-blown in Marrakesh by skilled artisans.

• Discarded bottles are melted and transformed

• Molten glass is shaped on a hollow tube with wet wood tools

• No molds. No copies. Just pure artisan soul

Step 4: The Wax — Clean, Custom, Chemical-Free

While most candles today rely on paraffin, we don’t touch it.

We use a custom blend of:

• Organic coconut wax

• Sunflower wax

• Beeswax (optional blends)

Each batch is hand-colored using Moroccan pigments and plant-based dyes.
It’s safe, sustainable, and refillable.

This entire system was developed in close collaboration with Maitre Cirier, led by Pascal, a veteran French candle maker whose formulas are known across Europe. With his guidance, we created wax blends for:

• Sand Wax – powder-based, clean and refillable

• Liquid Wax – perfect for events and hospitality

• Gel Wax – clear, biodegradable, sculptural

Together, Maitre Cirier and Serghini helped us create a truly artisanal, cross-cultural candle collection — rooted in heritage, made for modern homes.

Step 5: The Scent — Pure, Natural Aromas

Every DARY LIVING candle is scented with essential oils that are:

• Cold-pressed or steam-distilled

• Never synthetic or chemically manufactured

• Blended in small batches for freshness

Step 6: The Assembly — Slow and Intentional

Each candle is carefully assembled by hand:

• Wicks are matched by diameter and type

• Wax is hand-poured or filled

• Labels are biodegradable or stamped

• Every candle is inspected one by one for finish and function

For Flambeau and Pool Tagine collections, we also assemble:

• Modular bases of wood, travertine, plexiglass, or glass

• Weighted systems for pool use

• Custom lids and gift packaging

Step 7: Packaging — Minimalist, Plastic-Free, Beautiful

We never use foam or plastic. Instead, our packaging includes:

• Recyclable kraft boxes

• Handmade pouches from linen or cotton

• Custom gift notes for weddings or events

• Fully retail-ready, but still deeply personal
